Spells, Stories & Sacred Knowledge
So much of witchcraft has been gate-kept by those in “power”. In Wicca, there is a hierarchy that stops you from learning information until you are initiated or “ready”. I believe that there are basics we all need to learn before practicing magic, but I am a practitioner of magic in the mundane, and I do not ascribe to hierarchies.
I am not Wiccan, but I am an Eclectic Witch. Crafting is at the core of my practice, as is motherhood (not in a homesteading, alt-right kind of way, but in the, I’m a mom, and my kids are amazing and aggravating often at the same time, kind of way.
Much of what I do in the Craft is as eclectic as I am. Here, you’ll find my musings on Tarot, including readings I’ve done and how I’ve interpreted them. You’ll also find occasional products and their recipes. I’m on the Crooked Path, currently studying Traditional American Witchcraft and the Tubal Cain lineage. I have no plans to join a coven, but I love to circle with activist witches like myself. I’ll share what I’m doing for the Pagan Wheel of the Year, seasonal holidays based on nature-worship religions of the past and present.
You’ll also find my Utah Metaphysical Shop Guide highlights on the blog, which I’m working on building up. There are so many shops in Utah now. When I was a teenager in the early 2000’s, there were very few, and they were hard to find if you didn’t know someone who knew. Welcome to my blog and Grimoire. Won’t you stay awhile?
To me, most knowledge is sacred. Sacred is all about how we treat it – we treat knowledge as a gift, something shared with us, but we don’t keep it secret until we need to. Much of our knowledge has been lost, on purpose. The spells I come up with or create will be shared here, just like my spell jars. I sell kits, but I don’t safeguard my ingredients.
Weaving Herbs & The Arcane
Here you’ll find my products, their instructions, and every ingredient listed. I don’t believe in keeping that knowledge private; too much has already been lost to secrecy. These are spells you can touch: crafted from everyday tools, shared wisdom, and the alchemy of action. This is my little magic workshop, where you can learn, create, and make something wholly your own.
Untangling Thoughts & Dreams
One of the most powerful parts of witchcraft is the self-reflection and intuitive work we do. There’s an energy that moves through our words, dreams, and souls. Here, my ideas take form from journaling, tarot, conversation and connection, and my own insatiable curiosity and reading. That is magic too.
