The Utah Metaphysical shop guide
Why A Metaphysical Shop Guide?
TL;DR: I’m making a metaphysical shop guide because all the witches and witchy people need support finding a store that fits their vibe and helps them find community. Shopping small is important to me, and I want to help support these businesses.
Witchcraft and nature-based spiritual practices have been receiving renewed attention and growth in the last several years. There are likely many factors for this growth. From shifting power dynamics and economic instability to a mass exodus from organized religion, people are seeking their own autonomy and authority to alter their world.
There is so much information at our fingertips. WitchTok has allowed many people to delve into nature-based spiritual practices, and the people here in Utah are no exception. The growing number of metaphysical shops here reflects this.
Metaphysical Shop Reviews for New & Experienced Witches in Utah
I’m compiling a resource guide of all the metaphysical shops I can find here, complete with reviews, interviews with the owners, and a listing of their services and how to connect with them. I’m including witchy shops and the witchy-adjacent stores here as a resource for those interested in shopping small and authentic.
Whether you’re an experienced witch or just looking to dive into your practice (do you call yourself a witch yet?!), there are resources and a community available to you.
A Note About My Own Practice
An important part of my practice is sustainability, shopping small, and recognizing other cultures and their practices without appropriating them.
I am a white, assorted cracker witch living in a predominantly white area in Utah County. My neighborhood is about 80 percent people who look like me, even if they do not worship like me. I recognize my privilege in being able to both visit these shops and highlight their products for others.
That being said, I hope a largely diverse group of people will be able to use this as a reference, so I will highlight which shops have items like white sage and other tools, even when I do not use them in my own practice.
The Metaphysical Shop Guide is a Work In Progress. Did I miss your favorite store or haven’t gotten there yet? Text me and I’ll set up a time to visit.
